Motoki had finally managed to sneak out of the cave. Heaven knows how much trouble the pregnant fae would be in, but hey, she needed a break. She couldn't take being stuck in there any longer. She came to Cyrul Glade. This place had one very fond memory she kept close to her - the first time (before her childhood) she had met Kaarn. Smiling, the fae noticed he "sunrock" and flew up on to it, bathing in the now dim, winter sun. She knew Kaarn was going to find her, any minute now...
"Oh well, he'll live. I just hope the pups will be ok...."

Raain had been walking about the area. Clearly, he was bored. He had been happy scarcely a few minutes ago, only to be completely ignored by all life. As usual, he was alone. As usual, he was upset about it. Grumbling, he paced about the land.
Suddenly, he came across another. It was definitely to his surprise. His luck always was bad enough to make sure that he never came across someone else. Well, luck may have been with him at the moment. Seeing the wolf creature, he polity greeted her.
Ah. 'Ello. I didn't see you.
He nodded toward her, wondering what she was doing here. Not that it mattered. He just wondered. That was all.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ebony fae saw the greyish canine and smiled kindly back. She hung her head over the edge of her rock and started to talking to the strange dog creature.
"Hello, wanderer. What brings you here?"
The fae layed back down on her side, watching Raain.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raain smiled in return, then went on to answer her question. My name is Raain. I'm from far away from here. I really wouldn't know how far, or exactly where, since I lost my way coming. As for what am I doing here in particular, I'm just wandering about looking for someone to talk to. You see, most of the time I'm on my own, and it gets very boring.
He paced the area once more, then settled down on a rock nearby. Then, wondering about his company, he asked a question.
I've givin' you my name, may I ask yours?
Upon sitting at the rock, he glanced about the area, taking in the views of it. He nodded at it all, as if dismissing it for what it is. Then he brought his eyes back to her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kindly, Motoki gave her name as did Raain himself."Why of course! I'm Motoki."
The young femme looked around the glade, glad to be out after so many months. She wondered what Kaarn was going to say when he caught her outside where she wasn't supposed to be. But why did he have to keep her cooped up all day. What was the point?!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Growling and hissing, a shadow-thing searched through the forest, wondering where the hell Motoki had gone to. Nothing could have looked scarier than it's black mass flickering with shadow-flames and glowing eyes occasionally coming into view, but this was the easiest way for it to get around.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jerking her head up high, Motoki heard something in the distance. She didn't know what it was, but she had a feeling it was trying to find her. Her heart started pounding, so loud you could almost hear it. The fae just froze in silence, scared of what was to come. After a few minutes, she tried to relax, but it didn't work.
"Raain, sorry to leave so soon, but I have to go, quickly!"
Motoki shifted into a shadow and rushed into the forest. As she sprinted, she bumped into something... or someone. Immediately, she whipped her gold magic out and put it around her for protection, not knowing what was going to appear.... she started growling, backing away slowly...
"Whatever or whoever you are, you better not touch me or I'll make you regret it."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raain was in shock from what suddenly occurred. Then, when he finally had the strength again to say something, Motoki ran off. He was about to yell after her, but decided against it. It would only make more problems.
Raain was kinda upset to loose a friend that he had just met. But he was used to being alone. He guessed it didn't really matter. So feeling a bit down, he sighed and started off the other way.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Growling, the shadow-thing recoiled, running away with a yelp of pain. It was gone, but its master would not be happy when it returned without Motoki... But before it could get far, a golden light began glowing within it, causing the shadow to become more sun-like. Returning to Motoki, it 'mree'd softly, rubbing against her coat, though she was a shadow as well. Still glowing with a golden light, it melted into her stomach, or where it would be, and caused her to glow briefly before disappearing once more.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With gold orbs opened wide, Motoki was breathing heavy with worry. She wished Kaarn was here, she was shaking and shivering like mad. Tears of fear ran down her ebony cheeks. The poor fae didn't know what just happened. All she wanted was Kaarn, that was it.... she just kept thinking...
"Kaarn.. please just come here... I'm sorry for escaping..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Appearing from the shadows, Kaarn was by her side in an instant, holding Motoki tightly in his arms. He knew that she had shifted, he could see it, but he was more concerned fro her safety, they had gotten this far, what else could be going wrong?
"Are you okay?! Are you hurt or-..or...?"
he couldn't think of what to ask, but concern was in his eyes. He had not been that shadow-thing and it had not told him anything. He just cared about Motoki, and the pups' safety.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking over to Kaarn, she stayed in his arms, still shaking. She just wanted to be there with him and nowhere else. Motoki realized why he had wanted her to stay put. There were many dangers lurking and some couldn't just be fought off. The fae went back to a solid wolf and looked at Kaarn with relief filled eyes.
"Kaarn I'm so sorry! I don't know why I escaped, I didn't want you to see me upset! I know how much you hate seeing me sick and crying... besides, I need to learn to take care of myself... if your always helping me then I'll never get anywhere in life...."
She sighed, still crying. What was she going to do.... Kaarn wasn't going to forgive her. Motoki had almost killed the pups! The fae laid her head on his chest and slowly relaxed. Kaarn's presence made her feel so safe...
"All I know is I never want to leave you again. Don't let go of me... please..."
