Silvara flew softly through the sky, her wings making little noise as she looked over the area. Seeing a river below she landed on the ground, thankful for the water there. She had been traveling for days, trying to find water, and she was quite dehydrated. She really needed the water. She kneeled down and scooped up some water in her hands and drank from it.
After a couple minutes, her thirst was gone, but she was still tired. She had been flying non-stop for so long. She really wanted to sleep, but she knew she couldn't. She couldn't afford to fall asleep. But she was so tired, she wasn't even sure if she could lift herself into the air. But she had to try.
Silvara stood up, and stretched her wings out. She had almost no strength, but she tried. After a few moments, she tried to flap her wings hard enough to get her into the air, but she couldn't. She tried harder, forcing her wings to get her airborne. Finally, she succeeded and lifted up a few feet. She gasped for air as she pushed her wings to keep her going.
Then she fell. All of her energy just left her at this time, and she fell. Leaving consciousness before she even hit the ground. But when she did, there was a loud crunching noise as she broke the bones in her legs and tore her wings. She layed there on the ground unless and broken. Maybe even near death. She would surly be there if no one were to find her. But it seemed, that that was not her fate. It was not her destiny to die there.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki was flying to the Cincaku River to relax. She spotted a grayish figure on the ground.
"What could that be?"
The black fae landed on the ground, heading to the dragoness. She gasped, seeing the poor creature lying there helplessly.
"Are you alright?"
Motoki helped the dragon sit up against a nearby tree...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara moved slightly, finally gaining consciousness again. She groaned and tried to open her eyes. When she did, she immodestly recreated it because everything around her was blurry and spinning. She groaned again, and blinked repeatedly until she could see.
When she was finally able to, she saw a black creature standing before her.
W-where am I?
She said, then tried to move, but found out she couldn't when she became immobilized with pain. She glanced down at her legs to see them covered in blood, and twisted to the wrong angle. After a moment, she was able to mutter.
W-what happened?
Silvara closed her eyes in pain, and tried to relax as she waited for the black figure to answer her, or at least to say something.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki noticed Silvara's leg's. She was worried and felt her pain. Luckily, she knew exactly how to help her....
"You are in the Forbidden Forest. Here, let me help you...."
One of Motoki's powers was to heal. She touched the dragon's legs once and instantly, they were back to normal.
"There we go, good as new. It seems you had a very bad accident. May I ask what your name is?"
She waited for the dragoness to respond. The black wolf kept thinking "How did a dragon get here...?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara instantly felt her legs without pain, and was grateful that this creature was able to heal her. She stretched her legs for a moment, then replied.
I am called Silvara. Thank you so much for saving and healing me. I am forever grateful. Also... if it is not too much trouble for you, could you heal my wings as well. They are torn and cause me much pain...
She indicated her wings, which has various holes and cuts in them. They were also particuarly blood and were not fun to look at.
Silvara shifted her weight, then decided to ask the black creature a question.
What is your name? And... what is it that you be?
She had wondered what sort of creature she was from the moment she saw her, and was not able to tell for her eyes were still quite blurry and could not see well. She waited in silence for the creature's reply.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The shifter had been wandering around, trying his best to stay as far away from the noisy creek as possible, he didn't want to even see it. His heart beat anxiously just by the simple sound of it, so he thought, 'the sooner I move in, the better'. However, he was also quite thirsty, having drunk the last of his water. The water by the creek was unsanitary! And he would prefer not to see it any way... that would be fine by him. Then he heard something... talking? Yes, it was talking. Two people, girls. Curiosity struck him like lightning. Weeeeell, it wouldn't be so bad to go by the creek. It wasn't that deep any way, right? Of course!
Eden slowly started to wards the voices, the dragon coming first into his vision, then the wolven. He was astounded! The only anthromorphic creature he'd seen so far was the warrioress by the forest! How many of these creatures were there? While trying to get a little closer, he was clumsy (still in thought, mind you) and accidentally stepped on a twig. Well, so far for the "look quick and go" method.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Silvara waited for the black creature that had helped her so much to answer her, she felt as though they were being watched. This wasn't new for her, she felt it all the time. As if unseen eyes were always upon her.
But then she heard a noise. Very slight, but considering that she couldn't see well, her hearing was better at the moment. She turned her head toward the river, trying to make out of anything was over there. She couldn't tell. Her eyes were blurry, she couldn't even tell what the black creature over here was. There was no chance of her seeing someone far away from.
Silvara tried blinking her eyes over and over, trying to clear them, her head worried about whatever it was that was watching them, if anything. Finally she gave up and closed her eyes are tried to relax. But it was no use. She was worried.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I would be more than happy to heal your wings" She gently ran her front right paw onto the creature's torn wings. Every rip and hole closed to form her beautiful wings again. Motoki was in awe at the dragon's beauty.
"There you are, newly healed wings. As for my name, it is Motoki and I am a wolf/human shifter."
She started to explain how she had human and wolf blood. With concentration, she was able to turn into either or both to form a hybrid. After her long, complicated story was over, she noticed the other shifter....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara nodded when Motoki told her story. It was interesting to her, and now she knew what she was. It made things a lot less complicated for her. She waited a moment, then replied.
It is good to meet you Motoki. I am very glad that we have met, and thank you for healing me.
She flexed her now fixed wings, then closed her eyes once again. She tried to relax but once again could not. She opened her eyes and looked down at her blood-stained dress, her mind beating with confusing thoughts. She was nervous. Normally she wouldn't be, but she had no weapon beside her just in case she needed it. She wished that she hadn't have to leave her sword behind, but she had to. And now she couldn't see right, and she was nervous.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He tensed up slightly as they looked his way for a second, but did not run over to attack. He felt slightly relieved, but it didn't show on his face (did his original emotions even show? He never was one to wear his heart on his sleeve). Deciding to approach and see if the dragoness needed any help, he slowly approached, cautiously.
"Might... you need any help?" he asked, his voice monotone and yet slightly quivering in a way, solemn definitely. "You seemed to be hurt. I could... catch something to eat?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara look nervous and Motoki could sense it. It seemed she was very intune with how others felt around her. She guessed it was art of her healing magic.
"Are you ok, you seem a bit shaken up?"
The wolven was scared that something would happen to the dragon. She seemed as if she had seen a spirit or something....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When the creature came forward to them, Silvara was immediately relieved. She looked at the creature, but could not figure out what it was. He sounded very nice from what she could tell, but she really had no idea.
That would be very nice of you. But please, what is it that you are called? What is it that you are? I am sorry, but I can not see very well at this time.
She changed her position again, still sitting against the tree, for she could not try to get up just yet. Her legs were still weak, and she could not see. She sat and waited for someone to reply.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The shifter simply stood, slightly dumbfounded, he didn't exactly want to explain what he was... it made people ask questions, but he decided that the company would understand (them being what he is, as well). Then he spoke, first his name and what he was.
"My name? It's.... Eden," he said in the same tone as before. It sounded as if he were a zombie or something. "I... am for now, a human. But... I am a wolf too, I can change."
Eden decided not to show this off however, and went off to go find something for the dragoness to eat. From was it seemed, she looked utterly exhausted and as if she had gotten into a fight.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara nodded. She sort of understood, but not quite. But then again, it was not her place to ask about it. She just sat up against the tree Motoki put her at feeling sort of awkward, but not quite. Finally she decided to answer.
Thank you... Eden.
She watched his figure leave the area. Then she turned her gaze to Motoki.
Thank you for healing me. I would have most definitely perished if you had not come. I will pay you back some day.
After she finished talking, she closed her eyes again, and was finally able to relax. For the moment.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki was amazed that she was not the only shifter. Shifters were a rare species and almost always stayed hidden. After her pondering, she decided to get a drink. She lapped up the crisp cold water into her mouth. It seemed Silvara had calmed down and everything was peaceful....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Walking silently through the forest, she came upon the two. Hiding in the green underbrush, she looked on quietly, her eyes beginning to widen... "Hybrids.." she whispered. The word choked her. She knew better then to be afraid, but still... Shuddering slightly, she looked on, admiring the two's coats and appearances.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara watched Motoki take her drink, and yet again felt as if she was being watched. She tried to calm herself and ignore it, but it never was easy for her. She closed her eyes and ignored it as much as she could, but she could not help but to feel nervous without her sword with her. She really needed her sword.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden came back, holding a brown rabbit in his hands, it's neck was a rather gruesome sight (from the fight it had put up, the thing would've only had teethmarks if it hadn't struggled so much). He stumbled up to the dragoness, holding it out to her.
"Here... I caught this," he said, simply. "It may look a little bloody, but it will be fine."
His nose caught scent of the girl hiding, but he wouldn't say a word to her. If she wanted to leave, she would, and if she wanted to join in, she may. It didn't matter to him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taking a breath, she knew Eden sensed her. Now it was rather pointless in hiding. Shuddering slightly, she clutched her sword beside her, if ever the time came that she might need it, in the most gruesome way possible to attack, or to start a fight.. She decided to calm herself down a little before even daring to step out onto the clearing that lead to the river, and to the Hybrids and Shifter... She took a deep breath, her heart pounding with excitement and fright.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki look at the girl. She trotted on all four over to her. What was with all the purebred humans lately.... they were everywhere...
"Erm.. hello... I'm Motoki....."
She rose up into the air, concentrated, and came back down a human.
"Better? I normally don't use my human form."
The now black haired hoped that this would make the girl more comfortable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara looked at Eden, and looked at the rabbit. Then she smiled.
That you very much. I am very grateful for this.
Looking up at him, she reached out her hand to take it. She was very grateful, she was starved. The smiled was still on her face, but she still felt the feeling of someone watching her. She was so nervous. It was not normal for her to be nervous, but she had almost no way of protecting herself, and she did not like it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Startled, she blinked.
"My friend, you didn't have to do that! I was getting ready to come out anyway." She said, with a bit of an English accent.
She smiled curtly.
"I am Kyoto Tomari. I have an English accent because of my family heritage, but I was brought into a Japanese family, and they named Kyoto Tomari over my old one.."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden, who is feeling slightly out of place in the conversation, smiles a little. He never really had been near other people (than the scientists and the warrioress).
"You're English? That's.... interesting," it was obvious he lacked a few vital social skills, especially when working in large groups.
He must've looked silly, twiddling his fingers and looking down. Oh well, it didn't matter to him. He sat down close to Silvana, feeling that she was the only creature around that he was the most connected with so far.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, than I ought to turn into my wolf form."
With a flash of light, Motoki was back to her wolfish self. She went onto a nearby rock and rested.
"So have you lived here all your life?"
Motoki noticed a certain someone had an interest in Silvara...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chuckling, she smiled at him.
"It's OK, your not the only one who hasn't been connected with other people in a while..." She said, sighing.
Crawling over to the river, she cupped her hands and drank the crispy sharp liquid. Sighing gratefully, she drank some more.
"No, of course not. See, I was transferred, because of some kind of a war... My mother hated the thought, and I appeared in Japan... Before that, I was called Emily Treshire... Then, I was taken into an orphanage, and the Tomaris adopted me, but then more war broke out... So, I ran, and ended up here. At the time, I was 10, and I stumbled upon this quaint little forest. So, I have lived here for 6 years..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Isn't the water so crisp and clean? Here in the Forbidden Forest, the water is pure and contains nothing harmful."
She watched the young girl sip her water. The black fae missed here days as a pup..or kid, whatever you wanted to call her at that age.
"I feel so old, yet I'm only around 18...."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara smiled at Eden politely, not really worried about anything anymore. She started to eat the rabbit, her hunger slowly leaving her. She looked over at Eden again. In between bites she spoke.
What has brought you to these lands, or where you always here?
She continued eating, and looked over the newcomer that Motoki seemed to be conversing with.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Yes, it is..." she said softly.
Having her share of water, she felt an immense sensation of hunger. Clutching her stomach, she ran off into the underbrush, unsheathing her sword...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Going hunting I presume?"
Motoki smiled and reveled her wings. They were made of pure magic, not physically, but magically there.
"Well, you will need a partner, may I go with you?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She looked over her shoulder.
"Sure!" she said before disappearing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki followed Kyoto through the brush.
"Exactly what are we looking for?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden flashed Silvana a crooked smile.
"Well... I lived in a town, with my supervisors," he began, but didn't really want to get into a big whole story, his was boring anyways. "But then everyone started disappearing, so I left.... what about you?"
He was interested to hear what had happened to her, because by her looks, it must've been something close to an award winning action novel of some sort.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Anything really, I'm starved!" she said, with that accent..
Suddenly, she stopped, and put her hand in front of Motoki...
"Listen.." she whispered.
Crouching down, she lowered her sword and there a few tail lengths away, was a rather large rabbit. Eyeing it, she crouched down with cat-like instincts, making not a sound. Sheathing her sword, she pulled out a small dagger. Then, in a quick movement, she dashed for the animal. The rabbit turned and started to run, but it was too late. She had killed it by a strike in the chest from the sharp knife. Quickly picking it up, she walked towards the clearing that lead to the river...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara listened to Eden and came to realize that he didn't really want to talk about it. She decided to answer his question.
I used to live in a town far, far from here. I grew up in a normal life, except for the fact that I was a hybrid. But no one ever seemed to care. They all respected me. Then one day something happened. I do not wish to talk about it, but in the end I decided to become a warrior. I am skilled with the sword and I can fight almost anyone off. I did love my old home, but I was forced to leave it... for reasons I would like to keep to myself.
After her story Silvara looked at Eden, trying to figure out what her story meant to him. She could not tell, so she closed her eyes, trying to get them to be clear again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wow! Great catch!"
Motoki saw another rabbit, a medium black rabbit to be exact.
"Oh, it's you my little rabbit roast!!! Come to wolfie..."
The energetic wolf had always been hunting this rabbit, but it always managed to get away....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden nodded, listening carefully. He must've noticed how rude he sounded, not really telling much about himself when she had.
"Hmm, a warrior? I met... a warrior a while ago," he said, looking at her, then he looked past her... noticing the water. He began to sweat a bit (and felt himself pale), but he ignored it. He wasn't touching it... it'd be fine. "She was a fox hybrid."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara nodded, then went on to talk.
I am a warrior. Am quite skilled as well. Yet... I had to leave my sword when I left. I am without one now and I do not enjoy it...
She sighed and then finished the rabbit, throwing the uneatable parts away. She blinked her eyes again, and finally they cleared out. She looked back at Eden, finally being able to see what he looks like. Then, she went to see what Motoki looked like, only to find that she was not there anymore. She wondered where she had gone...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chuckling, she licked her lips and devoured the rabbit, then ran back to Motoki.
"That thing? Has managed to dodge you? Ha! That's one skilled rabbit!" she taunted.
Chuckling, she watched Motoki.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That is a rabbit I have been chasing for days.... he is very fast...."
The rabbit had been a most delicious looking meal, but Motoki couldn't catch it. She tried everything, her magic, teeth, claws, nothing worked....
"We better get heading back, don't you think?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden stood up and turned around, he didn't want to look at the water. It still scared him.
"That must be a sad thing, to leave something you love," he said, nodding. He left behind all of his star maps, but that was by choice (so it was very different). "We could find a sword, maybe? It seems like everyone has one... so they must've gotten it somewhere."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Ah, don't you know you idiot? You've been attacking the rabbit head-on... But for you see, rabbits rely on sound, not smell.... You must crouch, like I did, to keep downwind. Stealth is the answer to this delicious meal..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara smiled. She was overjoyed that he wanted to help her so much.
That would be wonderful! I do need one, I am so alone without one.
She looked up at him and then said.
Would you mind, my legs and wings are fixed now, and I must stretch them. And my eyes are better now, so I am able to see again.
She got onto her feet, which were slightly wobbly. She blinked her pink eyes and looked around, then spread her wings and lifted to the sky.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden grinned, something to keep him away from water! And to gain a friend, it was a worthwhile thing.
"So... where should we start? Oh... and when you get it... you can do some major ass-beating," he said with a grin, then coughed. "Anywaaaaaays, let's go."
He started to walk slowly, in case she wasn't healed all the way yet. It's be pretty rude to go running off while your friend was wobbling behind you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara remained about a few feet off the ground, and listened to what Eden said. She thought for a moment and then replied.
That would be good, but first, I must thank Motoki once more. I just need to find her.
She took a look around, and did not see her. She flapped her wings and scanned the area, but did not see her. Silvara would not leave without thanking her, so she continued to look.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dashing out of the forest, she called to Silvara.
"I sensed that you were looking for my friend, Motoki.. She is in this forest, trying to catch the black rabbit!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden looked over towards the human, then over towards Silvana.
"Well, erm... I guess we should go and try to find her," he said with a sigh. Well, he figured since she was chasing a magical rabbit, it'd be a big task. "Let's start."
He then turned into his wolfish-jaguar form and ran off, sniffing at the ground for her scent.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara landed back upon the ground and ran after Eden. She hoped that he would be able to find her. It was extremely important to her that she talked to Motoki. She had to thank her for saving her. She would feel so bad if she left without doing so.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki was running through the forest as she sensed Silvara
"There you are! I sensed you were coming!"
She looked around trying to find Kyoto, but she was no where in sight...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara saw Motoki and jumped forward.
There you are! I was looking for you! Eden and I are going somewhere to see if we can find me a sword, and I could not leave without thanking you.
She placed her hand on Motoki then continued.
Thank you so much. I am forever in you debt. You saved me from death, and you healed me from painful wounds. I will never forget you, and I hope that we cross paths again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki smiled at the young-looking dragoness.
"It is my job to heal, that is why I have my powers. You will always be in my heart, I too hope we cross paths again."
The black fae watched as Eden and Silvara walked down the path. She hope somehow, somewhere, the would meet again. Howling, she said her final goodbyes. Seconds later, her hidden wings took flight and she was off in the sky... going wherever the wind took her...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara watched Motoki fly off, hoping that they would see each other again. After a few moments, she knew that they would. With that in mind, she turned to Eden and spoke.
Shall we continue on then? Where would we be going anyway?
She looked at him, hoping that he knew where they could possibly go. She would be no help with that for she had only been in this land for maybe a few hours. Nothing more. She knew nothing about the land, and she hoped that Eden did.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An airborne Motoki was thinking about how she had healed Silvara. She always felt really good whenever she made a difference in the life of another being. It made her feel real special, like she was needed. As she looked at the ground, she started to wonder if she should follow Silvara.....
"Should I journey with her, or just stay here.... hmmmm...."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Re-appearing, Kyoto looked up to see Motoki hovering in the air.
"Where are you going Motoki?" she asked curiously.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden looked over towards Silvana, then over at Motoki. It might've been better if they traveled in groups, as he was still a little wary of recent events. Who wouldn't, though?
"Silvana, you should ask if Motoki wishes to join us? It might be better if we went in numbers, you know?" he suggested softly, not wishing to be rude. "Besides, the place I'm thinking of going.... might be dangerous."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki came running toward them. She knew it would be safer if she went with them.
"Wait up you two!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kyoto looked at the duo sadly, then turned and walked into the forest. Alone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki turned toward Kyoto...
"Aren't you coming? We need an expert hunter like you!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara nodded.
Eden, you lead since you seem to know where you are going.
She smiled and walked beside Motoki, happy that she was coming too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Me?" she asked. She just couldn't finish the sentence.
"Well, if I am coming, I know the place where I made this..."
She pulled out a silver sword, that glinted in the soft sun.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden put his hands in his pockets, where he was leading the group might be bad or not... it was his neighborhood. They were sure to find some sort of weapon there, after all, there was the guy who liked to collect those kinds of things. However, there might be government officials. The town was empty and he had been a registered 'shifter', so they might go to check if he were there.
"Okay, we should get there when it's night... it'll be safer, and we can camp out in one of the houses," he said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"We don't have to go to a town.... That would be dangerous. We can use the natural resources."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara thought for a moment.
No. We should go with Eden.
She thought for a moment longer, and then nodded, confirming her own thought.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hmm... Whatever you say..." she said solemnly, rather off-beat.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden looked over towards Tomari, and smiled sweetly.
"And, oh, where are we to get good enough steel for making a sword?" his voice was sickeningly sweet sounding, he sounded almost... not like him. "Let me guess, you'll just magically pull it from your ass?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"If you weren't so stubborn, and if you weren't so ignorant, and if you actually lived here long ago and studied Science, you'd know what I'd mean." she said.
She looked absolutely calm, and didn't seem to care if he didn't like her theory or not.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Oh, no, I was wrong. You're not going to use magic, you're going to make one out of science, now? Well, no matter what kind of science you use, you will still need steel. Oh, I forgot. There also happens to be, coincidentally, a steel mine close-by? And also, doll face, just to clear things up, alchemy is NOT science," he said coldly, his eyes seemed to turn even darker. "Now, let's go. I'm sure the old antique-collector has better swords than this priss can conjure up."
He turned away and looked over towards Silvana and Motoki, then started towards the neighborhood.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fire eyes stared from the shadows, flame-like hair soon coming into view.
"That's not true at all..."
An evil-sounding voice hissed, pearly whites shining as the figure emerged, clad in pre-Beginning clothing.
"And that would be quite a feat... I'd love to try it sometime."
Now fully in view, the boy, who appeared to be around 16, chuckled evilly.
"But I would need a lovely assistant, of course. Now, this could hurt... A lot."
Still chuckling, he made his way around Kyoto's back and made to pull a sword out, but stopped mid gesture.
"I am terribly sorry! I have completely forgotten to introduce myself! I am Kaarn, the sorcerer. I serve my Master and may do whatever I please. He shall not let me die."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara turned around with a look back at Kyoto Tomari. She sighed and then walked after Eden. She looked at Motoki to see if she would follow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden looked over towards Kaarn, chuckling slightly at his little 'magic show'. His face went solemn again, he couldn't let things distract him.
"Interesting, but I believe you took magic-girl's act," he said, looking over towards Tomari. "Oh, sorry for the outburst. I sometimes run my mouth too much... actually, I'm not sorry."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Magic? Who said anything about magic? Who said I've been to some town close by that has a steel mine? To make a mine out of Science is impossible, idiot. And I have not studied Alchemy, but I know enough about this forest to not rely on steel mines."
"Take your sword away, this is enough..." she murmured.
She turned tail and ran into the wood, leaving not a trace.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara sighed at the argument around her. She sat down on a rock near her and fanned her wings, watching what was going on.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There was a small rustling, then a relatively tall form pushed the creek's grasses aside, walking out of them gauntly. Relatively worn gaze slid across the mismatched group, settling on Eden. One pad raised in the air simultaneously in a curt wave, small fang-showing grin accompanying it before she walked gracefully across the edge of the group, focused on the other side and disappeared into the grasses.
Small chafing sounds of seasoned leather marked both her arrival and exit, clanking of metal and the blue glint of steel; her beloved sword and daggers; undoubtedly. Eventually, the rustles faded into the distance, and she was gone once more . . . sanguine arrival entirely useless, weird, but useless.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden waved a hand, an expression on his face would've matched someone who'd have seen a ghost appear from nowhere, yet know the ghost was good.
"Ekanta..." he started, but she then went into the forest and out of sight. He was left slightly confused, but decided that he had to find Silvana a sword, and now was not the time for thinking.
"Alright, Silvana, let us go and see if we can find you a sword now. I hear the old antique-collector has some "magical" ones, or so he says," he said with smirk. He remembered the old, quirky man who claimed that everything he owned had an interesting history and was magical in some way or another.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki looked behind her and sighed....
"I swear... those two will never start arguing....."
She noticed Kaarn had somehow managed to find them. What was he doing here?
"Nice magic show Kaarn... what are you doing here? I'm not going to get sick from your magic again..."
The fae wasn't in the best mood. So first these guys start arguing, what next, they're going to kill each other....
"Come on you two, stop your immature bickering."
The shadow wolf made her way to Kaarn. She started to tease him in a playful and flirty voice...
"So what are doing here, going to shoot me with your magic again? Well, you won't have any range this time..."
The fae showed yet another one of her forms. She turned into a shadow of black. Hiding in the trees, she flew into the other shadows....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara was slightly confused by the continuous comings and goings, but she kept her cool, and answered Eden's question.
Alright.
Then she turned to Motoki.
So, are you coming with us or will we leave you behind. And what of all these others that I do not know?
She did want to know who they were, considering that everyone else seemed to. But then again, she had only been here for a short amount of time. She could not possibly meet everyone in that time. Even though she had a met a whole lot of people already.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden nodded, over her way. He began to feel bad about the fight earlier, but really, they had to hurry to the town in order to get there in time. He sort of wanted to see his house again... just one time. It would be nice.
"Motoki, we should hurry. And... magic boy, you may join us if you want?" he offered, noticing how Motoki and the boy had seemed to get along.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chuckling, Kaarn watched Motoki.
"Feeling a bit better, I see? And that was an accident... I had been trying to help, you know..."
Glancing to the others, he smiled, evil gone from his face.
"Not magic boy... Kaarn."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I guess, whatever is hurting me won't give up though..." Her stabbing pain had settled, but was still there.
Something was hurting her from the inside out....
"Gah, thanks for reminding me...."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara smiled at Kaarn politely. She did not know him and did not know if he was dangerous, but if he was, there was nothing she could do. She decided to talk to him.
Hello... Kaarn. I am Silvara. At this moment I am in need of a sword, so I, Eden, and Motoki I believe are going to get me one somewhere. Would you like to come with us?
She stood up from the rock to introduce herself better. She wondered about this human, but said nothing more.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Glancing down, he muttered something very sorry-sounding and looked to Silvara.
"It is nice to meet you, Silvara... I could make you a sword using my magic, but, from what your boyfriend here has been saying, I don't think my efforts would be appreciated..."
Nodding, he walked to Motoki and started petting her, trying very hard not to look like he was in much pain as he tried to drive his master from her. It had worked... For now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Kaarn, then," he said boredly. "Are you going to come with us, or not? We need to hurry, but I am sure that we will get there around midnight. We can sleep in one of the houses we find."
Eden looked over towards Silvana, noticing her slight distrust in the magician. He didn't blame her, but he decided that he would get to know this "Kaarn" a bit better later on through the walk. He began southern, to where he remembered he had come to get this far.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara sighed and started after Eden, not looking back to see if Motoki and Kaarn were following. She hoped that Motoki did, but she wasn't so sure about Kaarn. But it didn't really matter she guessed. If he was coming then she would get to know him better and that was that.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Eden, Silvara, what's wrong? You guys look like you've seen something like a spirit."
She knew they were nervous around Kaarn. Honestly, she didn't know why. He was a very sweet person, at least to her. After all, he is the one who saved her life.
Motoki continued to walk at Kaarn's side...
"Maybe we should take a break...."
She started to get tired and stopped to take breath. What was going on? After a short stop, they continued, but things were about to take a turn for the worst....
"Guys... what's that be-hind us..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The thing that Motoki had been talking about was a small group of soldiers, each held a gun in their hand and had special armour of some sort... and come to think of it, their guns were weird too.
"Put your hands up," he demanded through a huge gas-mask. "Don't do anything rash."
Eden stood still, slowly putting his hands in the air. His brain worked wheels, figuring that the special things they had were special for magic users.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara turned around and immediately saw the soldiers. She was about to scream, but quickly put her hand over her mouth and shut herself up. Then slowly she lifted her hands above her head. She wondered what they were and what they were doing. Then suddenly a thought crossed her mind. Her eyes opened wide in alarm.
Could they be? She thought. No... It couldn't... I couldn't be...
She looked over at the others and wondered what was going on. Who were these people?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A presence lurked in the forest, watching the group, grimacing at the soldiers. Pure soul flickered like an intense flame. She was getting ready.
Hana Mori...
Crystal gaze locked undistracted, lions build, muscles, ready to kill, but odd Leopard spots showed on her bodice,
Hybrid
This was no average animal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They then trampled forwards, metal boots clinking, checking them for any weapons. They found a small pocket knife in the back pocket of Eden's pants, and were busily searching the others while they began to destroy the pocket knife. Eden just watched in slight annoyance.
"You'll be following us, kids," said the captain of the small crew. "We will take you to a special jail for now."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki turned into her shadow form once again, only this time, her eyes were red...
"Who are you calling a kid?"
Before the fae was about to hit them, she cringed.
"Ack, my pain's back...."
She fainted without a sound.... in her mind, she kept thinking....
"Just kill me... I know you won't give up..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara looked at Motoki in confusion. What could she do? Then she knew she had to help. Ignoring the soldiers, Silvara leaned down and tried to see what she could do to help Motoki. She didn't care if the soldiers didn't want her to. She didn't care if they wanted to take them to jail. It wasn't the first time, and it was more important that she helped Motokie. So she tried.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She was in her own world, her mind. Something wanted her and she didn't know why. Was she dreaming? It seemed so since she saw a black figure in front of her. The poor fae was scared. She yelled for the only person who knew this darkness...
"Kaarn!!!"
In the real world, her body was limp, lifeless, and dead-looking...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The army men sharply prodded Silvara with the butts of their guns for bending over. "Eh, missy, stand back up. We'll try to 'elp the wolf-y 'ere," he said, he had a slight New Orleans accent. He bent down and scooped up Motoki gently, not wishing to hurt anyone. He took her over to the trucks that were hidden in camo-designs that were snug in the background.
Eden recognized the voice from somewhere, but he couldn't quit place a finger on it...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Immediately, Kaarn found himself at Motoki's side, stroking her fur and murmuring to her.
"Motoki... Wake up!"
Knowing now that his master was trying to kill her, he couldn't think of anything to do...
"He-... He wants to kill her!"
He was screaming now, tears streaking down his cheeks. Waving his hand in a dismissing manner at the soldiers and they were suspended midair, frozen in time for now...
Looking back to Motoki, he was worried. Once Master decided to kill someone, he would not stop until they were dead and could never come back...
But she had something his master did not, something that he could never have, no matter how many he killed... If only Motoki could understand that...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She awoke to find Kaarn at her side. All of her strength was gone, drained. Her spirit form was again here, showing her empty soul. There was nothing to her. The black fae didn't know if she was dead or alive. Her word she spoke before falling were sad...
"Kaarn, let me die, protect the others, you showed me people do care about me. Don't put yourself in danger. It's time for me to die...
She collapsed, breathing heavily. All she could do now is wait and suffer... her time was over...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The officer hurried as he felt her lighten slightly, putting her on a few blankets that littered the ground now. He took something from the pouch that was tied around his thigh, it looked like a few mint leaves, crushed lavender, and other plants.
He then took out a roll of bandages and began to rub the weird plants into her side, leaving a rather gooey mess. He did something with his hands, causing the bandages to warm up and glow a soft gray/blue. He quickly wrapped them around the goo.
"'Old on, mes amis," he said softly. He then held a hand onto the bandage, and it instantly warmed her side up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eyes narrowing to little slits, Kaarn got up, growling at the officer.
"Don't touch her!"
Now glowing, his eyes had flames leaping out almost, though they were sparking. With his voice like spitfire, he began murmuring very dark-sounding things as his hands were engulfed in black flame. Grabbing the soldier with unseen hands, he lifted him up, high above the treetops as his eyes turned black... One could almost see his master in him as he continued trying to kill the poor man, though he thought of nothing. All he knew was that he had touched Motoki...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's when Eden rushed forward, looking over towards where the solider had flown, seeing him laying in a pool of blood now.
"Kaarn, magic boy, calm down. You can't help Motoki out that way, okay? Just sit by her and heal her," he said quickly, the way things were going now, it wasn't going to get any better. "I'll.. I'll go help the solider."
Eden slowly walked over towards the bleeding man, leaving the two to be by themselves. He swore Kaarn was a little over-protective of Motoki, but figured that it was simply the stress of her near-death.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Watching from the shadows, out came Kyoto, having seen enough.
"Did ya miss me? Meh, probably not.."
She cautiously walked towards Kaarn, and handed him some healing herbs. She had seen it, had followed, and seen enough, The whole thing had went into pure chaos!
"Calm down Kaarn, they are trying to help her.." she murmured.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Mmm... what happened...? Kaarn..?"
The fae tried to get up, but had no strength, just a broken body and twisted soul.... nothing kept her well... it seemed like nothing could help her....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gazing worriedly at her, she stepped towards Motoki and set to work on her, taking ginger colored, bitter herbs, and all manner that she had collected, and was slowly bringing her back to life, but perhaps not fast enough... Grabbing a white herb, she prompted her to eat it.
"It will make you feel much better, eat it.." she said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden chose to ignore Tomari as he looked at the wounds on the solider. His arms had been cut up pretty badly from being flung and it looked as if he's broken a leg, and possibly a rib.
Remembering that he had used the pouch tied around his thigh, Eden opened it quickly and found a few rolls of ace bandages along with a few weird medicines.
"Erm, uh..." he said, looking at them. He wouldn't try to use any of them as he quickly cleaned his arm and wrapped it up.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki was confused, hurt, torn, and clueless.
"Where's Kaarn?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grumbling, she shoved the white, shiny, curved herb, that looked a lot like a turnip in Motoki's mouth, forcing her to chew.
"He's right by your side, always has, always will be."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Yuck... what is this stuff...."
The dazed wolf looked at Kaarn and smiled.
"You ok?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smiling slyly, she could tell that Motoki was regaining her former, lively self.
"Now, shall we take out these goons, or go on ahead?" she murmured, not within earshot of any of the soldiers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You go ahead, I need to rest, don't worry, Kaarn will take care of me."
She snuggled up with Kaarn and relaxed. The fae felt better and just needed to get some rest....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shrugging she smiled at Motoki.
"If you insist."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Motoki fell asleep, knowing she was safe, if only others understood Kaarn. If only they could feel his pain. No one would ever understand him like she did, no one....
"Bye guys..."
The fae whispered her words and drifted off. Tomorrow, she knew Kaarn and her would catch up....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara stood to the side and watched all the commotion. She realized that she would be of no help to Motoki long ago, and backed away to let Kaarn in. When Kyoto Tomari had arrived to help, she had seen no point, for it was obvious that only Kaarn could help her, yet said nothing to the human. She continued to be nervous around the soldiers, but stayed as cool as she could and waited to see what would become of them all.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After wrapping up the broken bones and using ace bandages on the cuts, he tried to lift the solider on his shoulders. Finding that he, instead, gets crushed, he decided that simply holding him while letting his feet drag on the ground worked even better. He took a deep sigh in, looking over towards Kaarn, Motoki, and Tomari. They'd all be preoccupied for a while.
"Silvana, let's... start away again, shall we? I do believe Motoki and Kaarn are busy..." he said, looking over to them again. "And we need to get you a sword, obviously."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara looked over at the others then sighed.
You are right. They will not be coming with us today I believe. They will catch up tomorrow, I hope...
She looked back at Eden with a confused look on her face. She wondered what had happened to Motoki. Also, she really wanted to know why the soldiers had come. It was really worrying her. Were they looking for her? She had gone so far, how could they find her?...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden nodded, starting after her. The solider had been nice, he had started to heal Motoki and hadn't been very mean. Besides, he swore he knew him from somewhere. He would feel wrong to leave him here for Tomari to kill.
"I'm... I'm going to bring the solider with us, if you don't mind. He... seems to know how to make medicine and stuff," he said, looking at the close-eyed, unconscious man. "He'll be useful."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara nodded her head. She didn't care too much if the soldier came with them. It really didn't matter. And anyway, Silvara was feeling kind of distant and confused at the moment. She just wanted to finally start on their way. She stood to the side for a moment so that she could let Eden go first, considering that he knew the way and she did not.
At that moment, her head was racing with thoughts from her past. She remembered everything that she had to leave behind. She remembered all that she would never see again. She thought about why she was here, and she sighed once more, wondering if it would ever be over. She had never wanted this to even start. It wasn't her fault, why did she have to go on like this?
Silvara shook her head as if to rid her head of the thought. She had to pay attention. Well, she didn't have to, but it wasn't polite to not. She sighed once more and looked back at everyone again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still idling in the shadows, she lurked unseen, the unwanted hybrid. Watching every single move, without being watched herself. It was time. She roared and pounced out onto a soldier, whole form became apparent, as the beautifully strange creature appeared in the open. It stared downward onto the soldier with rage, just about ready to chew his face off, as the man screamed in terror. There was a moment of still tension, as the man went quiet with fear, and the creatures snarling could only be heard.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden smiled faintly at her, then hurriedly continued. It was now predicted that they would have to camp out somewhere in the woods. Maybe the solider had a few tents or something? Oh well, it didn't matter.
He walked in silence, concentrating on keeping his energy up enough to lug around the solider and walk fast. He began to get slightly tired, but was sure that he could continue for another thirty minutes.
"Silvara... we're going to stop and rest in a little bit, and if it's dark by then, set up a camp of some sort. With the solider attack, I am not too sure that traveling in the night would be smart," he said, taking in a big sigh.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara nodded. She looked around her, not really seeing it, for she was once again lost in thought. With so many questions on her mind, it was hard for her to stay focused. She blinked her pink eyes, trying to make images from her past go away, but she could not keep the fire and blood from coming into view. Finally she just sighed and went to go help Eden set up camp.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden stopped, setting down the solider. He felt as if his back were going to break if he stood upright, but did so anyway. It cracked once or twice.
"I'll go get something to make a fire with," he said, dragging the solider near a patch of moss. "I think he has a lighter or something, I saw him smoking earlier when they wanted to take us to jail."
He hoped that he had a lighter, and something for the three of them to sleep in. If not, they'd probably just have to sleep on the cold forest floor. Oh well.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara nod ed again, and then decided to just sit down for a bit. She found a rock not too far off, and sat down there, her mind a mess. She closed her eyes and tried to relax from just seeing the black. She felt slightly better, but not too much, so she stretched out her wings, feeling the breeze run through them. She stopped knowing what was going on, and just concentrated on nothing, trying to relax her mind.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden walked around lazily, gathering small pieces of kindling and a couple dry leaves (to also help with the fire) and began back to the small place that he had declared camp.
"Hello," he said quickly to Silvara, just to let her know that he was here. He then picked a spot, clearing it from leaves and patches of moss and grass until it was just dirt. He then set stones around in a circle and put the kindling in the middle, along with the dried leaves.
He walked over to the solider, looking into his pockets for the lighter. He took it and turned around, clicking the little button that was to start the fire, he put it to the log and... was suddenly grabbed by his ankle. He looked back quickly, finding it was the solider who was just barely awake.
"Ge' me my medicine pouch, please," he said weakly, Eden looked at him in slight distrust, but took the pouch and handed it to him. The solider then took out some other weird stuff (very different to the compounds of plants he had used on Motoki) and spread them on his arms, ribs, and legs.
Eden distracted himself with starting the fire, watching as it began to go independently, he scampered over to wards Silvara and sat by her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hearing Eden sit down next to her, Silvara opened her eyes.
Ah, hello. She said to him. The soldier wakes, I see. When he is better would you ask him why he was after us for me? I do not feel well.
She closed her eyes again, feeling the images coming back. She took a few deep breaths, then stretched her wings out again as she had before.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden nodded, watching as the solider brang his hands to the fire, warming himself up a little as he lit another cigarette. Apparently no one had told him the dangers of that stupid thing.
"Excuse me... er, sir?" whispered Eden a little nervously. He looked up and went 'hmph?' quickly. "I was wondering, why were you after us?"
"... Well, ya' see. What little left of most humans believes that shifters are de' cause of most of the problems we are having these days," he psued for a second, rubbing his hands together. "We are t' go 'round and look for anyone who is a shifter or an anthromorph."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara listened to the soldier's answer, and though she was a bit more relaxed from it, she was still not quite sure. She looked out at the forest, her head filled with thoughts and questions. She wondered what organization they were from. She needed to know, she was so worried of who they could be. Yes, it was not good that human soldiers were going after hybrids and shifters, but at the moment, she was much more worried about what else they could be. Once she had her sword, she would be much more able to fight others, and could protect herself, but now... She really could do nothing else but worry.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden watched as the man simply sat there, inhaling the smoke into his mouth then breathing it out through his nose. The smell was bad, but he didn't really mind. The shifter then turned around, looking at Silvara.
"This guy is sort of scary," he whispered to her. Apparently it was loudly, as the solider simply chuckled. Eden froze up again. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Glaring at the Kyoto, Kaarn shoved his hand up her skirt and pulled a steel blade from her posterior. Grinning evilly, he grabbed Motoki and skipped off to find the others, leaving Kyoto with whatever pain she would feel from having a sword pulled from her, but no wounds to anything but her pride. Grinning impishly, he reached Eden and Silvara and showed them the sword before laying Motoki gently down on some moss.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden stared at the sword for a second or two, before breaking into a large grin. Then he bit his lips, obviously to try and conceal it.
"Well, you're better than I thought you would be, that's for sure," he muttered loudly. The solider just looked at the blade, not knowing what it was to mean or anything.
"Sorry 'bou' earlier," said the solider to Kaarn and Motoki. "I wasn' tryin' t' hurt ya' or nothin'."
Eden cringed at his accent slightly, not liking the way he left off the last letter so much, but it would be rude to criticize someone based on their way of speaking.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Erm... that's ok....."
Motoki looked nervously at the soldier and noticed Kaarn was acting a little psycotic.
"Uh, Kaarn, did someone drop you on your head..... your acting like a mental retard.... literally. Do you even know what you just did?"
The fae lyed in the soft moss and rested her weak body.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silvara stared at the sword. She was amazed.
Did you just...
She just stared at Kaarn, not able to say anything more. Then she shook her head, coming back to her senses.
Oh, sorry. Where are my manners? Hello Motoki, hello Kaarn. It's nice to see you two again.
After saying that she went back to staring at the sword. She shook her head and sighed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden boredly slumped against the tree, picking at his nails. He sighed softly, barely audible. He didn't feel quite tired, but staying here for a while would be better than trying to travel in the dark with a wounded person dragging behind.
He hoped that the solider would be good to walk once tomorrow came, but figured that he would. He seemed to know what he was going.
The shifter felt slightly chilled now that dusk had passed and the warmth from the sun had left. He crawled over to the fire, sticking his hands near it quickly. The solider seemed rather warm by himself, without the aid of the flame. Eden was curious, but didn't ask.
