The young male scanned his surroundings. He liked them. He knew the other tribes would be disgusted at what he would do next. He walked up to the lake and took a nice long refreshing drink. He wondered how hos tribe could drink acid, he decided it tasted better then water. He was in the mood for a fight. He was hoping for a male of even a fae to come along and fight. His muscle's were easily seen as he walked. He had not eaten in four days and he was hungry. His yellow eyes pierced the night sky as he continued to look around his surroundings. He finally decided it was safe and he laid his head down ready to go to sleep for the night. Just as he put his head down he heard a howl. "Who is there?" he called out.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Red eyes shone brightly through the ever present darkness of Ryvorroth. The soft sound of paws crushing leaves and sticks as they moved across the ground rang out as if it were amplified one hundred times. The darkness grew deeper. It could be felt even in the air itself. And the power... from just being in the area, one could feel the power. A power stronger and more dangerous than any other. It penetrated the skin and went deep into the blood, sending chills up the spine. Colors blurred away, leaving the world black and white. And then... laughter. The power of the Dark Alpha.
The dream-like state faded. The world returned to color and normality. But that did not mean safety. For there never was safety in these lands. Standing in the clearing by the lake, was the horrible brute. His claws and fangs were bright and deadly, stained with blood. He was a nightmare in himself. Just the mention of his name could scare away many. He was the demon. The pure essence of evil. The horrible. The feared. It was this that stood before the Border Collie. Murderous eyes darted quickly about, never staying in one place too long. Eyes stopped at the other dog for a moment, but not longer than anything else. He had come to drink from the lake, but was not moving forward to do so. The reason was the other. Looking him over again, he figured that this was a member of his Tribe. If he had clearly been from elsewhere, he would be dead already. But his looks saved him.
Rakar stared at the other, waiting.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scavenger sensed this dog was powerful. He knew this smell! It was the alpha. No, he had never met that alpha but he knew the smell well. He knew it would do no good to fight so he laid back down waiting to see what would happen next. He hoped that this dog would sense he was of his pack. Scavenger's mouth hang open as he panted...blood stained his teeth and he did not care. He tried to lay there showing no threat. This was a hard task for Scavenger because normally it was other dogs showing submission for him. He just waited..."Come on go ahead and do what you want, I pose no threat to you"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A demonic smile crossed Rakar's face as he looked down upon the sight before him. The brute was an intelligent one. Or perhaps he was simply scared like all the others. Either way, his words were obvious. He was from the Tribe. Claws clinked against the ground as he walked slowly toward the lake, turning away from the other. Standing before the dreadful green liquid, he stared at his reflection. Slowly, he began to drink the water; his black tongue taking in the deadly poison. One eye always watched the brute. He continued with this for a few minutes time, then stopped and turned to face the other again.
Then the words came.
So, you are of my Tribe?
The voice was dark and cruel. The words stung like rose thorns; hissing, bleeding. It was a terrible sound, but it served its purpose. Rakar was all about the fear. It was what he did. Every thing that he did, was to frighten others. To show them his power, his strength. When he killed, the victim would be screaming out into the sky to be sparred. Their body drenched in sweat and fear. Because it was all fear. Fear kept others in place. Fear crushed the world. Rakar did not fear anything. But anything feared him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Yes I am of your tribe"
Scavenger was not really scared of his leader. He was just smart enough to not get into a fight with an alpha. He loved this horrible land and he did not want to leave it. Not yet anyway. He still had not completed his life goal. He had not killed his mother's murderer. He sat there and watched this dog drink the very acid he had drank not one hour before. He liked this alpha. He was powerful and that was one main thing he knew was way he was the alpha. He nodded respectfully and said" My name is Scavenger" For some strange reason his own name reminded him of the trainer he had killed three years ago. He noticed that this dog was at least five years older then himself. Scavenger was only a mear two years old. He was a younger dog but had the wisdom of an elder. He waited for the alpha's response.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome, Scavenger.
The cold, dark voice of the alpha twisted through the air. The murderous sound naturally froze the blood and stunned even those with no fears at all. It's a terrible, terrible thing; the power of the Darkness is. Fooling all and killing them in their sleep. It can not love, only destroy and mutilate. And the demonic Border Collie loved it. Darkness rested in his soul. It ripped apart his heart into not but a black hole. It fed the fire inside of him, giving him powers beyond belief. Cruelty. Pain. Terror. Death. These were the images that the dog really was. There truly was nothing that could relate to the pure, pure evil of Rakar. The name itself was feared.
Laughter sounded once again. A noise that could barely even be described. It was like the screech of a mother as her newly born pups were murdered right in front of her very eyes. The horrible sound rang through the area; bouncing off the surface of the water and returning at twice the volume. Many would cringe and fall upon hearing such a thing. After the laughter creased, the alpha moved slowly toward Scavenger again. His red paws made slight noises as they padded forward. Bloody claws stained and cut the ground as he moved. Slowly, he circled around the brute; looking him over. He looked strong and intelligent. A perfect addition to the Tribe. But the alpha felt the need to see for himself. And to enjoy himself.
Show me your powers!
The screech sliced through the darkness; The Dark Alpha planned to test the brute.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"My Pleasure," He said with a horrible look on his face. See he had practiced his powers since he was born, he had really tapped into them and found power not all ckbc's had. He was sure the alpha could probably do what he could. He lifted his paw and bared his claws. As he did he darkened his gaze and a black aura surrounded his paw. If you touched it, it would burn you like acid. He found this power when he was one. As soon as his paw was surrounded in the black aura the sky went completely black, there was no moon in sight. His bright yellow eyes turned blood red and his lip was bared. He had virtually no control over his body when he was in a stage like this and he swiped at his alpha leader. The whole time in pitch black darkness. He loved the sensation of using his powers to fight. He suddenly snapped out of his trance and back into reality and realized he had swiped at the alpha. The sky went back to normal as quickly as it had darkened, as did his eyes. The aura around his paw disappeared and was planted on the ground. He did not know if the alpha wanted to fight or not. He hung his head low, but high enough if he had to dodge out of the way from an attack he could get out of the way.

Breath had been held for too long and the female was growing desperate. But she was terrified that, were she to take a breath, she would be found out. Eventually, she had to, taking her breath as quietly as possible and, she thought, making little to no noise in doing so. This need attended, she realized just how frightened she was. Poor collie had begun to shake and the somewhat thin branch quivered beneath her. It made no sound at that time, but after a few moments of shaking, the momentary silence was filled with the cracking of the branch and she closed her eyes, plummeting to the earth. She was fortunate, however, in landing atop another creature, though it only served to terrify her more; she had landed on the scarier of the two. Scrambling off of him, she fell to the ground, not even trying to get up as she lay there, storm-grey eyes looking at him, terrified. Tail was completely still as she gazed at him, not daring to speak, move... Even to breathe. Face might very well have been blue beneath her fur and she was trembling like a dead leaf on a tree in autumn. I can't die, I can't die... She thought, knowing that she could, in fact, be killed then and there. Femme was strong, but she had no powers of her own, as far as she knew... And she was completely at the pair's mercy. A terrifying thought, indeed for she knew the feeling of terror that rose within her wasn't just coincidence. These collies would kill her without a second thought, but she couldn't die, she had to live. Life pulsed through her veins with her increased heartbeat, as did her purpose: to learn. Even she did not know who she was, save for a name. And she needed to know; her mother had refused to tell her anything about her father and she sensed that he was much more important than her mother had made him out to be...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scavenger turned toward the fae.He looked at her with evil eyes. The sky had darkened again. He was angry. He did not like other collie's coming into the picture so...crazily. His paw was once again bared with the black ora surrounding it. He would not kill her unless the alpha signaled him. He was still unsure if the alpha would attack or not after he had had swiped at him. This fae looked terrified of him and the alpha. He wondered how long she had been there. He wondered so many things but did not dare ask any of his questions. He gaze still darkened and his eyes again turned blood red. He was more then angry, he was furious! Lately he had been in a bad mood and tonight he had a temper. He waited to see what any of the other collie's would do. All he did was wait in the darkness he had cast over the land...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darkened eyes watched closely as he tested the brute. Observing the power that was on display, he took note of a sense of strength. And a sense of fearlessness. A slight, unnoticeable nod came from the alpha upon seeing this. He was pleased. The Border Collie knew how to use some of it's dark powers. This was by far good, for Rakar had met many that didn't know a single thing and had to train them from the start. Unblinking, he continued to watch as the sky darkened. This, of course, was only in the immediate area for the dark alpha knew that only he could darken more than that. And even so, it was only his lands that he could do this with. But still, it was a good sign. It was quite obvious the brute was a tough one.
As he continued to watch, Rakar quickly realized what was going to transpire. His dark powers were far more than just powers of offence. It simply was not just that he had powers to kill and destroy. There were others... and these were the ones that most Border Collies didn't even have the slightest clue about. They didn't even know. But this alpha did. He knew. Claws suddenly came spiraling toward him; it was obvious the brute couldn't control himself. Swiftly and easily, Rakar shifted out of the way. He didn't even blink. Such an attack was quite simple for him to dodge. Not even the smallest problem to him. In fact, he could tell the attack was coming half a second before it happened. How did he do this? Dark powers. Powers deeper and more chaotic than most could even dream of. And not because they are painful.
It was then, then that something strange happened. Something unlike anything that happened to him before, actually. He was suddenly caught weak. It enraged him, obviously, but it also confused him. How was it possible? His dark powers should have been able to detect this, stop this. Could it have been that he was not paying attention? That he was distracted by the sudden attack? The demon-like dog considered the thought, but it was too impossible. He could see in a way unlike any others. He could not have possibly missed this fae, one he had never even seen before, sitting up on the tree. He would have noticed it far before he had even entered the area! There was only one other explanation...
Even as the alpha was being hit by the soft, falling body, he was already moving back into his position. Never, never was Rakar in a position of being weak for more than a second. His black tail twitched to the side as he jumped to his feet and glared at the fae. He noticed Scavenger quickly getting ready for attack without even looking up, however, he ignored him. He knew the brute wouldn't attack without his signal. Staring at the female, his eyes deep in anger, he looked terrible. He was a demon, he was the image of fear. And here he was, standing before this fae, darkness radiating about him. Paws slit the ground as he circled her. Fangs shone from where they sat, sticking out of his mouth, covered in dried blood. He could attack her at any moment. He could rip her neck out with his fangs and spread her blood and flesh across the land in a second. He drew in close to her, as if about to do so. But there was something... something stopped him. A question. How? How could she have done that? The alpha hesitated. He knew he had to know. The questions began.
Who are you, wretch? And what by what insanity are you slithering through these lands? Don't you know what happens to mud like you?
The words were practically spat at her. They twisted through the air and choked those who heard them. Words of evil. And then laughter. Oh... the terrible laughter. The alpha had made up his mind. He would not kill the fae. No... not after what she had done. Instead, he would keep her and torture her if he had to. He had to know. And he would find out, one way or another. But one thing was for sure, he would not let her know he wouldn't kill her. No, he would have her thinking it the whole time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eyes were full of fear as the elder wolf moved, body trembling as she fought not to roll over. Fae was far too worried about keeping her insides in to let herself expose such delicate underbelly to the brute. Mind kept repeating that one phrase over and over again, never letting her rest... As if she could have anyway. Yelp slipped from her throat as he moved closer, breathing becoming shakier, her whole body shuddering with each breath. Tongue slipped out to lick at her maw, attempting to make speech less than impossible for her, "I-I'm... L-L-Lemus..." She stammered, "An-an-an-an-an-and I-i-i-i-i w-w-w-was j-just l-l-looking ar-round..." Body couldn't decide whether to shake or twitch, it seemed, sending the femme into some combination of the two. Pretty much plastered to the ground, she lay there, gazing up at him fearfully. He didn't seem to want to kill her then, but she could never quite be sure... Tail was still attached to her side as she looked at him, terrified. Eyes couldn't separate from his gaze and that of the other male meant nothing to her, "I, ah... Don't kn-know..." She admitted, looking at the ground. It was true; she had just been looking through the beautiful land... At least, it was beautiful to her...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scavenger rolled his eyes without thinking. He could figure out that the alpha did not want to kill the fae. He put his paw down. His eyes went back to a piercing yellow and the ora around his hand faded. The sky still remained pitch black, he was not furious just annoyed. He stopped being mad for a moment to really look at the fae. She looked strong. He had a terrible buzzing sound in his ear. He knew this sound well. He was getting too mad and his eternal balance was off really bad. He did not know why this happened it just did. He cringed as he began to shake his head. It hurt and the ringing would not stop! He was going to go crazy if it did not stop! His breathing became heavy. He had to do something, anything. But what? Kill. No, that wasn't it. He suddenly had a shock back into the past of a memory of him and...his sister. The thought made him upset and vulnerable. He hung his head low and silently wept to himself, his weeping could not be heard. The sky went back to normal once again and he stood there, head low and listened to what the alpha would say next...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rakar's eyes narrowed at the fae's response. Never breaking his gaze, he continued to circle around her. She was trapped; it was obvious. There was no possible way that she could even come close to escape. No, between the alpha and the other, there was just no way. They blocked her only places of exit. And besides, they were so fast and strong, that they would catch her the moment she did so much as move to leave. Their bodies were swift and graceful. It would be a simple feat for them to keep up with her, considering her poor condition. And if this all wasn't enough, there still was the alpha's power. He would be able to tell what she planned the moment her eyes moved to think it. He would be able to see her, no matter where she went... well, maybe. She already had defied this power somehow, so the alpha wasn't going to take any chances. He had her exactly where he wanted her. There was nothing she, or anyone else as far as Rakar was concerned, could do.
Well, wretch, you won't be leaving anytime soon, now will you? You pitiful scum! -He grinned- You will stay in these dark lands as my prisoner. You will be questioned, tortured, and if I wish it, killed.
With this said, the dark alpha nodded his head. The fae, now known as Lemus, became surrounded by a sphere of black light. She was trapped inside this, and could not escape without help from magical powers of her own. If she were to attempt to break through it by force, it would cause her a great deal of pain. Rakar then spoke again.
You will follow me. If you refuse, you will be punished and forced. He then turned his attention to Scavenger. Walk behind her. If she does not follow orders, you have the right to do with her as you will. But refrain from killing her. That, is my job.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Faint smile twitched at the female's lips as she gazed up at him, shakes lessening and then stopping altogether. Head tilted down as she made a faint attempt at hiding the reassurance that she now felt, "But you won't." She told him, eyes turning to look for his reaction. She just watched him, eyes holding a cool confidence that was almost unknown to her. Body had relaxed, though she didn't let herself become unaware of where the other collies were. She smiled and looked at him, her eyes nearly glowing, though it was impossible to tell whether this was because she had accessed some unknown power or because she was just overjoyed at realizing this, however truthful it might have been. "You won't kill me. Something isn't right, so you won't kill me until you find out what it is." Shifting slightly, she looked up to him calmly, "Which could take quite a while, as I am not even sure of what my powers are." Eyed ceased their glimmering for a moment as she looked at him sadly, an unbidden thought stealing into her mind, but they returned to their lively, youthful radiance soon enough, leaving her looking around curiously, as if she wasn't in any danger. The bubble formed around her, though she couldn't help but grin even more broadly as she realized that she could see just where she should step to get out. Of course, she didn't bother trying, being the strange creature that she was, merely allowed herself to be lead around, tail wagging in quick little bursts of energy behind her as she trotted along.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scavenger nodded at what Rakar said. " Okay," he said with a confident voice that meant he could handle it. He walked around behind Lemus and began to follow Rakar. He felt a little proud that he had a job to do. He had a very serious look on his face as he paitently waited as they walked to where they were goind. He could feel the darkness building inside him, but he ignored it for the time being. He listened to Lemus's new found confidence. Smooth move he thought to himself. He wondered if he was part of Rakar's pack now. He had no clue. He was exhuasted inside, but on the outside he looked as alert as a hawk.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
