The shifter had found his way to the temple again, kicking aside the door angrily. A pain in his stomach, it hurt so badly! It wasn't like a burning or searing pain, just as if there was pressure every once in a while. He sat on one of the random couched, not minding as the fuzz seemed alive (and tried tickling his ears) he bit his bottom lip and banged his head on the arm of the couch, until finally the fuzz took a hold of his head and held on with a vice-like grip that still tried tickling his face.
That's when everything went dark and he couldn't see a thing. The pain went away as his vision grew darker.
A few moments later, most likely ten or fifteen, he awoke and holding onto a little kid with soft skin. Eyes were a soft, pale sort of green. Despite being young, freckles spotted it's cheeks and nose. Despite being almost bald, there were a few tufts of hair here and there that looked oddly. A black color with a green shine. Skin was tanned lightly. Eden looked more closely at it, finding out it's gender. His new kid was a girl.
"Oh... god... so this wasn't a joke," he said, holding the child close to him as it tried to reach out and grab his hair and pull it. The kid sure was a curious one. "I wonder if you're a shifter or what."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the temple. He couldn't believe that he was back at the temple. THOSE FUZZ BALLS HAD TRIED TO EAT HIM! But here he was, nonetheless. Zee looked around, wondering what had changed, if anything. But enough had for him to wonder if he had come to the right temple. Then he saw the fuzz balls and smiled weakly. Of course he had. After a few moments, the shifter noticed Eden and looked at him strangely, almost forgetting his new form. Ah, yes... His form. No longer was he that pretty girl, but a boy of 16. Raven-black hair came to his forehead, though by no means could it be considered 'neat'. But it gave him a mysterious look when paired with his grey-blue eyes. They were on the darker side, this time, like the sky right after a fast-moving storm... Lightly tanned skin looked darked in the temple, though not much. The features on his face made him seem almost unreal, though. Zee loved being pretty, so he always managed to make himself look it somehow. In his opinion, that is. At the moment, he was wearing a plain black t-shirt and a simple pair of blue jeans. No shoes. Running his fingers through his hair, he smiled awkwardly at Eden, wondering why he had a baby and if the god felt in the mood to give him one. He hoped not. Being a girl was one thing, having a baby was another entirely... If one looked at his eyes, they seemed to always be switching colors. Though they stayed grey-something, the other color was changing (this was unnoticeable and quite slow, mind you) to blue, purple, green... And a variety of other colors. But he didn't care, since he liked them this way, they were very expressive.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden's black, zombie-like eyes looked over towards Zee slowly, not recognizing the shifter (after all, last they'd met, he'd been a girl). He held the child closer, not really knowing who this person who had just entered the scene was. The baby made soft mumbling noises, finally able to tug at Eden's hair, continued to pull on his dark locks. Eden turned a reddish hue at the stare of Zee, after all, it wasn't everyday you could see a guy give birth to a baby. And usually such weirdness was often picked at, a lot.
"Um..." he said, trying to break the uncomfortable sort of silence. The soft sort of mumble-sounding noises the baby made were barely distinguishable, but helped to break this sort of ice. "You... do you worship this God?"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still smiling awkwardly, Zee nodded at the baby.
Who's kid's that? Yours? And yeah, I do worship this God... Wouldn't be here otherwise...
Still smiling, he glanced around, wondering what mischief Liakale was planing now. He hoped it didn't involve him, though he didn't really care. If it was like those fuzz balls, it wasn't too important. With a sigh, Zee thought for a moment and shrugged, before deciding that he should make himself recognized and less of a stranger.
Remember me now?
He asked, his voice sweet in this form, before he changed back. His voice always seemed harsh, no matter how he actually felt in this one, though he loved it still. Not that it actually mattered... Chuckling, he moved a few steps closer to Eden and his child, not wanting to startle him but still wanting to see the baby. She was quite strange, he was willing to admit, though many things were to him. He didn't care anymore, really, whether or not Eden was afraid of him, he hoped he wasn't, but friends weren't really a priority at the moment.
What're you calling her?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nodding solemnly, he had a sort of look of surprise on his face... then just a tired look. This whole forest was weird, and full of strange people. He really wouldn't be surprised if next he saw some sort of magical cow person dance by wearing a jersey and a pair of baggy pants with chains. And considering this was the temple of Liakale, such a possibility was even higher.
"Yes, I remember... and... for her name?" he said, looking down at the black haired, green eyed child who stared back at him with a softer gaze. Such a face melted the barrier he had held up, and his eyes softened considerably as well. "I am caught between two names. Branwyn and Rhaxma."
The first of the choices would be well for describing her hair, a sort of raven sheen it had. It was a nice name too, but Rhaxma sounded better to his ears. He smiled softly and snuggled up close to the child, nuzzling her softly as the child just laid there in his arms. As bad as children were at his age, he still felt like the kid... might be as Liakale had described in the first place, a sort of blessing? And besides, a baby wasn't as much of a burden in the times of the change. There was no formal schooling, or money. It would be easier to find and get stuff and not worry about ruining his entire life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liakale was having an ordinary day in his realm of existence. He had not bothered anyone, or made anything usual happen, so he was pretty much bored. He sat down in his chair, drank some oddly flavored tea, and looked down into his crystal ball, which was the most entertaining way to watch the world for him. He stared down at his temple, and to his surprise, and glee, two people that he had bothered before were there. One was the shifter that he made pregnant. He knew him to be Eden. The other he tried to bother with the pink fuzzballs, and failed. He knew nothing else about him because he had grown bored and left him fairly quickly. Looking a little more closely, he saw something that made the tea come spitting out of his nose. Eden had had his baby. Liakale laughed so hard then, that perhaps people could hear him on the earth. However, he wouldn't know that for sure.
Finally, when he could stop laughing and regained his calm, he planned what to do next. First off, he had to do something that would annoy the one he couldn't annoy. He thought for a moment, then decided on turning him into a girl. Smiling, he did so. Now, to bother the shifter again, just not to an extreme, as he had before. He grinned, knowing exactly what to do.
Suddenly, a magical cow person appeared in the temple. He was wearing a jersey with the number 17589027582359073 on it. His pants were baggy with lots of chains hanging down from them. Quickly, it walked over to Eden and started to do the hula dance about a foot away from him.
Liakale, who had been drinking more tea, spit it out of his nose again. He was now completely covered in tea. He sighed and spoke to himself.
Oh dear... I really need to stop doing that.
Then he burst into laughter again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damned Gods...
Zee muttered to himself as he changed back from his God-given female form. Sighing, he noted that the God had given him a very ugly face. He shuddered at this thought. Then, he turned on the cow, eyes flashing angrily as he fought to stay calm. Lips curving in a cruel smile, he brought out a dagger and waved it in front of its face.
How'd you like a steak dinner?
He asked, not unkindly, just not very friendly to the cow. But that was okay, since he was getting pretty fed-up with this God. Maybe he should have picked the God of love or something. But they might have put a love spell on him or something... He shrugged and eyes the bovine with mock hunger, waiting for Eden's response.
Oh, and as we're speaking of meals, you might want to feed the little one... Whatever her name is.
He didn't want to help choose the name, it seemed too much like he was a parent... He couldn't be one at whatever age he was; he needed to wander and not be tied down. Even friends were a luxury he couldn't afford...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smack.
Went Eden's hand onto his forehead. Of course, even thinking this wild stuff would cause it to happen. Well, this cow was sort of funny. Zee's comment had sort of bring forth the hunger he had to his mind, before he hadn't noticed much, but he was very hungry...
"I wouldn't really mind," he said with a sort of grin. Then down falled in facial expressions at Zee's question. "... Feed her? Um... well..."
Black eyes turned back to look at the kid. Since he didn't have any, ahem, breasts to feed the kid, he sat there wondering what to feed her. Maybe this kid was magic and could eat regular food? After all, the daughter of a god and an artificial shifter shouldn't be getting by finding food and living without much serious problems. Which made our new 'mother' wonder what exactly would this kid turn out like.
"Erm, I'll try to feed her regular food"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cow looked at the dagger and quickly began to run out the temple door, screaming all the way. He continued to run until he was lost somewhere in the forest. Soon he would most likely be eaten by some hungry creature. Ah well.
Liakale wasn't thinking about the cow. He watched as the man had turned back into a male again. He stood up in anger and began yelling into the crystal, which made it so that they could hear him down on the earth.
WTF?! YOU'RE DRIVING ME INSANE! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU! EVERYTHING I DO TO TRY ANNOYING YOU DOESN'T WORK! NO ONE IS UNANNOYABLE! I'M GOING TO UNLEASH THE DOGS ON YOU!!
With that lots and lots of dogs magically appeared in the temple. There were dogs of all kinds, but they all had two things in common. They both were big. And they both had really sharp teeth. The dogs began to growl at Zee, completely ignoring Eden and his child. Slowly, the dogs began to move toward Zee, their teeth showing, their eyes mad. They did Liakale's bidding for food. He was so cruel.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I could do something about that...
Zee started to say more, but the dogs came. He signed and rolled his eyes. What was with this God? He didn't care, mostly... But he had to admit that the baby was cute... Then he produced a squeaky toy from behind his back (courtesy of the temple floor) and squeaked it at them, hoping to keep them from eating him. Then he threw it outside the temple. Whether or not they brought it back if they went to get it wasn't a problem; if they did, he'd just throw it again. But he didn't want enemies if he could help it... But as soon as the dogs were distracted, he turned into a girl and plopped him- (or her...?) self next to Eden, the same girl as from their first meeting, though in slightly more practical attire for feeding a child (it was just a bit looser, was all) and offered to take her. It wasn't like he could care that someone was looking at his breasts when he couldn't really manage to remember that he had them...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eden cautiously handed the baby over, Zee didn't seem like a bad person, but neither did Michael Jackson at first either. He was still thinking about what to name the little girl. Rhaxma sounded nice, but he was unsure of whether or not the girl would fit up to that name when older. Branwyn fit her, but he didn't like the sound as much as Rhaxma.
"I have it! I will name the child, Maeve," he said with a soft smile towards the green eyed child. As suddenly as he handed the kid over, it turned into a wriggly puppy of sorts and jumped out of Zee's lap to hide in the couch cushions. A normal sort of mother would freak and have a heart attack, but Eden merely watched with a raised eyebrow. "I hope the couch doesn't eat her."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The smile that had appeared on Zee's lips grew as Maeve went deep-couch exploring. He figured that if there was any danger to her, Eden would do something about it, not that he wouldn't try to help...
Maeve is a lovely name.
He told Eden, though he still thought that trying to feed the baby regular food was stupid, since babies weren't normally born with teeth. He'd offered to help just because he was there and could do something... It was how he worked, since nobody hired assassins anymore...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curious (I love that word) he was greatly now, wondering what his new child could be doing in the couch that was so immensely interesting to play in. So he stuck a hand inside the couch and.... felt nothing, it was as if the couch was empty. He pulled his hand out, nothing was wrong with it as his eyebrows knitted together in wonder.
With audacity (after all, knowing this god, he probably would leave it bare the next minute and as soon as the shifter climbed in himself, it would be filled with water or something less horrible. Knives.)
Sticking his head into the couch, he saw that it was rather nice inside the couch, though the seemingly bottomless couch felt like it was made with wet mud.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Watching as Eden was absorbed into the couch, Zee decided to go in after him, but there wasn't, apparently, any more room. So he just waited for them to return and played with Barbies because he was bored. So popping off their heads was fun after all! Besides, he could make them go into strange positions that involved their legs bending backwards and such. It was really quite amusing when they broke because he bent them so far back that their limbs fell out. While he was laughing, he kept and eye and an ear out for that stupid God. How did he intend to annoy Zee anyway? tickle him till he started to cry?
That's when everything went dark and he couldn't see a thing. The pain went away as his vision grew darker.
A few moments later, most likely ten or fifteen, he awoke and holding onto a little kid with soft skin. Eyes were a soft, pale sort of green.
